He is a graduate in Political Science and did his LL.B and LL.M from Utkal University,
Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar (Orissa). He enrolled himself as an Advocate in 1996 at Orrisa High Court and started practicing in Civil and Constitutional Matters. Served as Whole time Lecturer in Jagjivan Ram Law College, Bhubaneswar for more than a year and later joined Law School, BHU. He completed his Ph.D. on “Legal Control of Cyber Crime: Indian Perspective” from the Law School, BHU. He contributed several articles in various journals on issues relating to Cyber Terrorism, Cyber Crime in India, Cyber Jurisdiction, New Media and New Crime and Protecting the Right to Privacy in the era of information and communication technology. His areas of interest include Cyber Law, Code of Civil Procedure, Transfer of Property Act and Indian Contract Act. He is a member of Academic council of Banaras Hindu University and a permanent member of All India Law Teachers Congress, New Delhi. He has participated and presided over many National and International Seminars.
