Introduction

The Anaesthesiology department started as a Division of Surgery Department in the year 1960. It became a full department in the year 1971. MD degree was recognized by Medical Council of India in 1968. The present input of Junior Residents is 15 per year. The department is conducting MD, Ph.D. and PDCC courses.
